All Levels Yoga: This is a challenging class ideal for the first-timer as well as the continuing yoga student who wishes to explore the poses and the breath more deeply. You will use breath and the principles of alignment to safely open the body in this yoga experience. You will build stability, strength and stamina.
Yoga: The practice of Yoga is a holistic approach to fitness integrating body, mind, and heart. This yoga practice is based on the Ashtanga/Vinyasa lineage, emphasizes linking breath with movement to build heat in the body. Incorporating warming Sun Salutations with an energizing standing series, this class will help strengthen, purify, and increase the flexibility of the body and mind. This practice is most suitable for the moderately experienced Yogi due to its fast pace and flowing nature.
Body Sculpt: Do you want to weight train but you just hate training alone? You want the results but you just can’t push yourself without a trainer? Beginner to advanced participants will tone up with the use of exercise tools. The emphasis is on toning and defining major muscle groups through endurance activities.
CARDIO SCULPT: Sculpting with weights coupled with cardio intervals! Come and join the challenge.
Boot Camp: Boot camp workouts are efficient because you work your entire body– heart and muscles. The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises…the difference lies in the intensity. In boot camp, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy.
Hard Core Abs: This class is going to target and tone your lower and upper abs, obliques and lower back. Your hard work will also firm and define your glutes.
CORE and Stretch: focus on building and enhancing core muscles then top the class off with stretching being mindful of the calmness, peacefulness and purity that comes with increased flexibility, lengthening range of motion in joints, and improvement of performance while decreasing risk of injury.
Pilates (all levels): Your core is not just your belly! Build strength, tone, stability and grace throughout your body with a dynamic, thoughtful workout that extends Pilates principles beyond the classical repertoire.
Sit & Fit (chair fitness): No matter what your physical limitation may be, we will help you find joy and satisfaction in a variety of exercise techniques and musical routines. Equipment will include light weights, chairs, dynabands, dowels, ties etc.
“SSS” Simply Sculpt & Stretch: Just like it sounds – half the class focuses on contracting your muscles and the other half on lengthening them! Focus is on higher repetition for muscular endurance as well as multi-joint combination moves to work the entire body in an efficient, balanced manner. An extended stretch segment at the end of the class is meant to maintain or improve flexibility – perfect to make that mind-body connection and start the new week refreshed.
The FIRM: The FIRM is a class that includes both cardio & sculpting moves. The cardio segment may use light weights (1-3 pounds), a ball, a step, or no equipment at all to increase your heart rate. For sculpting, heavy weights (5-10 pounds), a power barbell, ball, step, or dyna band are used to increase your strength and add definition to your muscles. Much variety is included in these classes to keep you and your muscles guessing! So come on out and give The FIRM a try. All levels are welcome!
ZUMBA Gold is specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms of ZUMBA and bring them to the active older adult, the beginner participant and other special populations. By emphasizing the basics, this explosive program is easy to follow so anyone can do it! This fun dance program includes Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Bellydance, Flamenco and Rock & Roll! This party is fun, easy and effective; a low- impact class that is great for the mind, body and soul!
ZUMBA Toning Created to emphasize muscle work along with rhythms, this combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercises is an effective use of progressive lightweight training to improve overall performance. This Latin-inspired dance ‘n tone program also includes, for the first time, combination rhythms within the same songs which adds to the fun and flavor: Latin Disco, Reggaeton-Cumbia, Conga Hip-Hop, Merengue Hip-Hop, Reggaeton-Belly Dance, Techno and Salsa. This program is assured to provide the participant with a safe and effective, re-defining total body workout!
